Rola Spikes™

What are Rola Spikes™?

Rola Spikes™ are rotating security spikes rated as the most effective anti-climb wall solution on the market. The spikes rotate on a galvanized steel bar (21.4mm), making it virtually impossible for intruders to grip and climb over your wall or fence.

Why are Rola Spikes™ so effective?

The rotation mechanism is the key. Unlike static spikes, Rola Spikes™ spin when grabbed, eliminating any grip point. Experts have rated them the ultimate crime barrier in South Africa — a country with one of the highest crime rates in the world.

What are Rola Spikes™ made from?

Toughened fibre, polyamide-reinforced nylon that is UV-stabilised to last over 10 years. They are internationally approved and ISO/TS 16949 rated.

Do Rola Spikes™ come in different colours?

Yes — multiple colours are available to match your wall or fence aesthetic.

What bracket options are available?

• Precast brackets (Single Row) — Ideal for vibracrete walls, palisade fencing, wooden fences, and entrance side doors.

• Flat brackets (Single Row) — Designed for flat surfaces wider than 4cm; fits brick walls, gates, and wooden fences.

• Double Row brackets — For flat surfaces wider than 5cm; fits brick walls and gates. Provides maximum deterrence.

What are the dimensions?

• Single Row: 11cm Height × 5cm Base Width × 11cm Circumference

• Double Row: 25cm Height × 7cm Base Width × 11cm Circumference

Can I install Rola Spikes™ myself (DIY)?

Yes. DIY kits are available with or without steel poles. Kits include all fittings needed to secure the spikes to your walls. Different fittings are supplied for different bracket types.

What pole length can be couriered?

Courier services will not accept poles over 2m in length. Contact Spike-It® to discuss cutting poles to size for your project. Alternatively cheaper to buy steel poles from Local Steel Supplier.

Do Rola Spikes™ work with electric fencing?

Absolutely. Rola Spikes™ work as a standalone solution or as a backup/complement to electric fencing — especially useful during load shedding or if wires are cut or tampered with.

No. Security spikes are relatively easy to install and require no special tools or equipment. They attach to walls, fences, and gates. DIY kits come with all necessary fittings.
